Best Bikini Brands: Who Each One Actually Fits
Of the best bikini brands for fit, Aerie suits most readers. It sells bikini tops in letter sizes and in band-and-cup sizes from 30A to 38DD, so you can buy the top to your back and bust separately. Past a DD, Fantasie and Freya fit better. Whichever swimwear brands you shop, check the brand’s size range before the style.
How we ranked
This is a desk review. In October 2026 we read each brand’s own size guide and recorded three things: the published size range, whether tops are sold by cup, and who falls outside the range. No one wore these suits for this review. Everything below comes from those published size guides.
Where we could not verify a price, the table says “not verified.” Where a brand does not publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate it. Prices and size guides change between seasons, so recheck the brand’s own page and size chart on the day you order.
This page ranks fit and size range only. Fabric has its own ranking in our guide to the best quality swimwear brands. Price has its own ranking in which luxury swimwear brands are worth the money.

Aerie
Fit need: a cup-sized top from a mass-market brand.
Aerie’s size guide lists bikini tops in two systems. The first is letter sizes, XXS to XXL. The second is band-and-cup sizes, 30A to 38DD. That second system is why Aerie leads this list. A letter-sized top assumes your bust grows with your back. A band-and-cup top lets you buy each one separately.
Outside the full-bust specialists, Aerie is the only brand here that sells bikini tops by bra size. Its limit is the edges. The band range stops at 38 and the cup range stops at DD.
Best for: readers between 30A and 38DD who know their bra size and want the top to match it. Not for: a 28 band, a 40 band or larger, or anything past DD.
Andie Swim
Fit need: the widest letter range, with long-torso options.
Andie Swim’s size guide runs from XXS to 3X, covering a bust of 32 to 50 inches. Some styles are also offered for long torsos and for D+ cups. Note the words “some styles.” These options vary by style, so filter for them rather than assuming every bikini carries them. The guide we read does not list band-and-cup tops.
Best for: a long torso, or anyone with a bust of 32 to 50 inches who wants one brand across a wide range. Not for: readers who need to buy a specific cup size.
Summersalt
Fit need: size-inclusive separates without cup sizing.
Summersalt sizes its bikini tops and bottoms from 0 (XS) to 22 (2X). It does not offer cup sizing. That works when your bust tracks your dress size, and works poorly when it does not. Tops and bottoms each carry their own size, which helps a reader whose hips and bust sit a size apart.
Best for: dress sizes up to 22 with a bust in proportion. Not for: a full bust on a small frame, or a small bust on a larger frame.
Freya
Fit need: a full bust on a small back.
Freya sells bra-sized swim in DD and above, with bands starting at 28. A starting band that small is uncommon. In our editorial judgement, letter sizing tends to pair a large cup with a large band, so a 28-band reader ends up with a top that slides around the ribcage. We could not verify the top end of Freya’s band and cup range, so check its chart if you wear a 38 band or larger. Our guide to the best swimwear brands for a full bust covers where each full-bust brand stops.
Best for: DD+ cups, especially on a 28 or 30 band. Not for: anyone below a DD.
Fantasie
Fit need: a full bust up to a 44 band.
Fantasie’s swim runs from a 30 to a 44 band, in cups D to J. Those are UK letters, which matters. In US letters the same range is D to M. UK and US cups match through DD, then diverge: UK E is US DDD, F is G, FF is H, G is I, GG is J, and J is M. A reader who orders a UK G thinking it is a US G gets a cup two US sizes larger than intended.
Best for: a full bust on a 30 to 44 band. Cups reach a UK J only in 32 to 40 bands; the largest cup in a 42 band is a GG. Not for: bands under 30 (Freya starts lower) or cups below a D.
Monday Swimwear
Fit need: A to G cups on a small-to-mid frame, with cup guidance by style.
Monday Swimwear sells nine sizes: PP, P, S, S/L, M, L, V, VV, and VVV. Its fit guide maps the largest, VVV, to US 16 to 18 and UK 18 to 20.
It does not sell band-and-cup tops. Instead, Monday Swimwear’s fit guide rates each top for a cup range. The Taormina Top is rated A to C, the Tamarama Top A to D, and the Tulum Top A to G. Its S/L size is the closest thing to a cup-sized top. It fits a 28 to 34 inch underbust in DD to G, but only in three underwire tops; each lists the same fits: 28E, 28F, 28G, 30E, 30F, 30G, 32DD, 32E, 34D, and 34DD. Monday labels its model sizes in US letters, so read its ratings as US: a Monday G is a UK F.
Cup-size information is worth checking before you order. Monday’s fit guide lists dress sizes with bust, under-bust, waist and hip measurements, so compare your measurements against it rather than relying on a cup letter alone. Cup letters also differ between systems above DD: a UK F, for example, is a US G, so confirm which system a size refers to.
Best for: A to G cups up to US 18, and small bands with a larger cup in the S/L tops. Not for: cups past a G, sizes above US 18, or anyone who wants a cup-sized top in every style.
Frankies Bikinis
Fit need: letter sizes with a cup reference.
Frankies Bikinis runs from XXS to XXL and lists an approximate cup for each size. That listing is a guide, and you still buy the top by letter. If your cup matches the one the brand pairs with your letter size, the chart does its job. If your cup is larger or smaller than that pairing, you are between sizes before you start.
Best for: readers whose cup matches Frankies’ pairing for their size. Not for: a full bust on a small frame, or the reverse.
Triangl
Fit need: small-to-mid sizes in a design-led label.
Triangl’s size guide runs from XXS to XL, and its XL is a US 12 to 14. On some styles it adds S+ and S++ tops, which give a small size more room in the cup. Check the chart for exact measurements before relying on them. US 14 is the top of the range, one of the narrowest in this list.
Best for: readers up to a US 14, including a fuller bust on a small frame where S+ and S++ tops are offered. Not for: anyone above a US 14.
Vitamin A
Fit need: letter sizes up to US 18.
Vitamin A sizes XXS to XL, which its chart maps to US 0 to 18. Its chart does not list cup-sized tops. That puts its dress-size reach close to Monday’s, but without per-style cup ratings. The top you get assumes your bust is in proportion to your letter size.
Best for: readers up to a US 18 whose bust tracks their dress size. Not for: anyone who needs a top chosen by cup.
Solid & Striped
Fit need: a specific style you have already chosen.
The Solid & Striped product we checked ran XS to XL. We could not verify the brand’s full size chart, so we cannot say whether other styles go wider or carry cup sizing. That is a thin basis for a recommendation, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.
Best for: readers who fit XS to XL and can check the chart on the exact product they want. Not for: anyone who needs to know the full range or cup options before shopping.
Hunza G
Fit need: no size decision at all.
Hunza G sells one size. Its size guide puts that at about UK 6 to 18 (US 2 to 14). Its Coverage Collection extends to UK 20 (US 16). In our editorial judgement, one-size swim relies on fabric stretch, so the same suit fits differently at each end of the range: snug and lower-coverage near UK 18, looser near UK 6. Our Hunza G review covers the brand in full.
Best for: readers inside UK 6 to 16, the range Hunza G’s fit guide calls comfortable, with no big gap between bust and hip. Not for: anyone outside the range, or a full bust that needs structured support.
Fit-led brands versus look-led brands
The brands above split into two groups by what their size guides publish.
Fit-led brands separate the bust from the back. Freya and Fantasie sell bra-sized tops, and Aerie does the same from 30A to 38DD. Monday’s per-style cup ratings and Frankies’ approximate cups sit between the two groups. They give cup guidance, but you still buy the top by letter size.
Look-led brands size by letter or by one size and lead with design. Triangl, Vitamin A, Solid & Striped, and Hunza G fall here. Summersalt and Andie Swim offer wide letter ranges, with Andie adding D+ and long-torso options on some styles.
Neither group is better. If your bust and back follow the same size, a look-led brand will usually fit. If they do not, start with a fit-led brand and choose a style within it.
What goes wrong, why, and the fix
The band fits but the cup does not. Letter sizing assumes your bust scales with your frame. If it does not, the top either spills or gapes. Fix: buy from a brand that sells or rates tops by cup, and size the top and bottom separately.
A one-size suit fits poorly at the edge. Stretch covers a range, but it does not fit every point in it equally. Fix: if you sit near either end of a one-size range, choose an extended collection or a sized brand.
A UK cup is ordered as a US cup. Letters match through DD and then split. Fix: convert before you order, using the UK to US list in the Fantasie section.
A sale item cannot be returned. Final-sale terms can appear on individual product pages and are easy to miss. Fix: read the product page as well as the general returns policy.
FAQ
Which bikini brand has the widest size range?
By letter size, Andie Swim has the widest range, at XXS to 3X with a 32 to 50 inch bust. For a full bust, Fantasie publishes bands 30 to 44 in cups up to a UK J, and Freya starts lower, at a 28 band. Summersalt reaches the highest numbered size in this list, a US 22.
Which bikini brands sell tops in bra sizes?
Freya, Fantasie, and Aerie sell bikini tops in band-and-cup sizes. Aerie’s range runs 30A to 38DD. Monday Swimwear rates each top for a cup range instead, and Frankies Bikinis lists an approximate cup per size.
What if my top and bottom are different sizes?
Buy from a brand that sizes tops and bottoms separately. Summersalt and Monday Swimwear both publish separate sizing for tops and bottoms. One-size brands such as Hunza G cannot accommodate a gap between bust and hip.
Is one-size swimwear worth buying?
It is worth buying only if you sit comfortably inside the brand’s published range. Hunza G’s one size covers about UK 6 to 18, with its Coverage Collection reaching UK 20. Near either end, or with a full bust, a sized brand is the safer order.
Do UK and US cup sizes match?
They match through DD and then diverge. UK E is US DDD, F is G, FF is H, G is I, GG is J, and J is M. Check which letters a brand uses before you pick a cup.
Before you order
Every brand above publishes its range in its own terms: letters, dress sizes, UK cups, or one size. Put your measurements into one system first, then compare. Our swim size conversion chart lines up letter, dress, and cup sizes across regions, so you can tell which of these brands has your size before you look at a single style.
